It has been proven that the company commissioned and managed to publish articles in medical journals that promoted the unproven benefits of the drug and concealed or minimized the risks associated with breast cancer.

TIC.cat Conference in Girona: Future Technological Trends

The Chamber of Commerce of Girona will host the conference of TIC.cat entitled "Future Technology Trends". The conference will take place on the 25 March from 17.45 h to 20.00 h. The aim of the event is to get to know where the main technological fields in this sector are evolving to through real examples of Catalan ICT companies.

The TIC.cat Plan has generated investment of over 65 million Euros in nine months

Since its launch in May 2009, the Plan TIC.cat Plan has generated investment exceeding 65 million Euros in the ICT sector, a figure 2.5 times the investment made in concept of aid and financing located around 30 million. These figures mean that in its first year, the TIC.cat Plan has by far exceeded the initial budget estimates in both the performances and the grants. In particular, almost € 9 million to 165 projects for Research, Development and Innovation (R & D) have been allocated. The Plan has also allocated 11 million Euros in loans to 25 technology projects.

The health sector creates new business opportunities in Barcelona

The crisis is absent at the Congress of the partnership in biotechnology

Yesterday the BIO-Europe Spring conference closed, which for three days has converted Barcelona in the European capital of biotechnological partnership. It has enjoyed the participation of 1,061 companies and 1,800 attendees from 43 countries. The organizers, EBD Group, say that this has been the most successful in its history, with an increase, despite the crisis, of 15% over last year's congress in Milan. BIO-Europe Spring has facilitated 9,000 'one-to-one’ meetings to establish partnership relations between actors of the biotechnology sector.

New opportunities for entrepreneurship in the field of life sciences in Barcelona

Next April starts the third edition of BioEmprenedorXXI program with the aim of positioning the city of Barcelona as the entrepreneurial capital of reference and give impetus to the strategic sector of life sciences.
