A technology market for both businesses and research centers

ACC1Ó will celebrate on Thursday, June 17, the TECNIO Forum, the leading market of supply and demand for the technology sector in Catalonia as part of the Biz Barcelona celebration.

The Forum TECNIO will be attended by Jouko Suok and Göran Roos, directors of the VTT Technical Research Center of Finland, who will present the business opportunities offered by applied technology in the fields of Information Technology and Communication (ICT ), renewable energy (clean tech) and biotechnology (bio tech) by the year 2025. Both experts will offer their vision on the most relevant technological advances for business and research in Catalonia in the coming years. The Foreign Markets Observatory (OME) of ACC1Ó will also present the map for business opportunities in the medium term of these three technological sectors in international markets.

Then, 15 TECNIO centers representative of these three sectors will present their technological research, products, and developments. The forum also includes a workshop on international technological cooperation to promote the participation of business and technical agents in Catalonia in the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union. In this workshop attendees will be able to become familiar with the services offered by ACC1Ó and Talència to promote projects of international technological cooperation, hear experiences of companies and institutions already active in cooperation and presentation of European projects, and receive advice in any one of a range of areas from an ACC1Ó expert.

Additionally, there will be various activities to promote networking and provide attendees the opportunity to work towards technology partnerships, expand their networking among the industry and make business contacts... The leading market of supply and demand for the technology sector in Catalonia, the Forum TECNIO includes other activities and also an exhibition of technology prototypes, as described in the program.
