NOAH, which stands for Networked Organisms And Habitats, is an on-line database for anyone who wishes to participate actively in nature conservation and environmental diversity. With contributions from users, 'NOAH' aims to become a shared global database for collecting information on all of the planet’s living organisms.

The Biodiversity Portal has been created by the Documentation Centre of the Department of Environment and Housing of the Generalitat de Catalunya (CDMA) to mark the International Year of Biodiversity 2010 as a one-stop site for all things concerning the health of the biosphere.

The Virtual Insectarium is a website that contains a lot of pictures on insects. It is part of the Virtual Biodiversity portal, a virtual database on biodiversity that feeds constantly from contributions from users.
