Calculate your carbon footprint

Find out the CO2 emissions associated with your daily life, from when you get up until you go to bed. You'll also find simple and practical ideas to help you reduce your carbon footprint as well as save money

With this carbon footprint calculator offered by the Terra Foundation and the CADS (Council Advisor for Sustainable Development), you can find out the amount of CO2 your day-to-day life generates in five areas: housing, transport, food, consumer goods and waste. In our country the average carbon footprint is 8.4 tons of CO2 per year, but it should not be too hard to reduce one’s personal impact to a moderate 2 to 3 tons a year, an emission level considered sustainable.

To find out what your carbon footprint is, just enter the information requested by the webpage. At the end you'll know what your personal carbon emissions are and find a series of simple and practical ideas to help you reduce your carbon footprint as well as save money.
