The Wolf Game

The interactive video game is designed so that players discover different aspects of the biology, social life, hazards, needs and human interactions of wolves.

Catalonia’s Department of Environment and Housing, in conjunction with the Natural Park of Cadi-Moixeró, has launched El Joc del Llop (The Wolf Game), an interactive, on-line video game about wolves that aims to educate children about this protected animal.

The interactive game allows the player to follow the story of a wolf that, due to a temporary loss of memory, has forgotten how to properly act like a wolf. To remember how, the player helps the wolf through a tour of several screens of the game where the player learns different things about the biology, social life, hazards, needs and human interactions of the mammal. The wolf’s arrival at the Natural Park of Cadi-Moixeró, at the end of the game, coincides with the recovery of its memory.

The contents were created by the park staff, the biologists responsible for monitoring the species and the Sour association. The creation of the character and the images was carried out by the Factoria d'Imatges.

The game is targeted mainly at 12-year-old children and encourages them to learn about this species reintroduced into Catalonia ten years ago.
