Open access to conference posters
Scientific posters that pepper many a conference and congress often end up being forgotten or thrown away. With the idea of not letting this wealth of knowledge go to waste, the “F1000 Poster Bank,” an open access repository that collects posters related to the biological sciences and medicine, has been born.
The repository is helpful in many ways.
For starters, it explains the results and information about the organizations that offer the materials. On the other hand, the information presented at conference now no longer remain only in the minds of those attending the meetings (information that, ultimately, can be forgotten), but is now accessible to everyone. What better way, then, to give more breadth to scientific knowledge.
The posters are presented in PDF format,
each of which contains additional information such as the summary written by the author, articles or evaluations.
Everyone can contribute to the repository, either as single user or as an organization, the important thing is that the collection is growing.
