Copenhagen is ready to receive more than 10,000 people amongst representatives of 193 countries, experts, NGOs and journalists. The summit celebrated in the Danish capital, whose organization has spent 62 million dollars, could mark a new turning point in the fight against climate change.

British engineers say that some geoingeneering solutions, a concept that for some time now is trying to refine and which consists in the intervention of the global ecosystem at medium and large scale, can contribute significantly to lessen the effects of climate change. The report from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers after years of work is the first to have specific proposals for an action plan for the next 100 years.
