What happens underground?
Big cities are increasingly hollow. Under their streets and buildings, there is a maze of pathways that facilitate the rapid communication via subways and underground trains that carry millions of passengers daily. Tunnel borers (TMB, tunnel boring machines) are an efficient and safe way to dig without having to continually pierce the surface and disturb the day to day activities of the city.

THE CUTTING HEAD

Tunnel borers are used for piercing the subsoil. They are very expensive machines made primarily of steel whose front is formed by the cutting head followed by a main bearing that constructs the tunnel lining as it drill though the ground.
