Acting against climate change is good for your health

“Climate change is the greatest threat for the health of the XXI century ". This is the conclusion of a recent report conducted jointly by The Lancet and University College London. Climate change is much more than an environmental and economic issue; it is also a public health problem. Researchers in the field say they could save millions of lives if they reduce the emission of gases and particles such as ozone and soot.

Defeating the tuberculosis bacterium

The bacterium that causes tuberculosis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is in the spotlight of international investigation. The goal is to get to know it as best as possible to be able to find new medicines, following the emergence of multi resistant strains against which current treatments are not effective. NOstress, a project financed with European funds, works in this direction.
