Scientists’ demands of Catalonia’s politicians

Where to get funding for research? What form of governmental administration should oversee scientific research in Catalonia? How would research be organized in an independent Catalonia? Those in charge of managing research in the Spanish autonomous community recently raised these and other questions to representatives from Catalonia’s five major political parties. The topics discussed allow for an analysis of what concerns scientists in Catalonia today ahead of the upcoming regional elections.
